Does it work in Google Sheets?
Yes. You get an .xlsx file that opens in Excel 2016+ and imports cleanly into Google Sheets or Apple Numbers.
Is this legal advice?
No. It's a general organizing tool that applies the published statewide rules to the numbers you enter and points you to the official sources. We don't answer questions about your specific unit or notice. Get professional help before an eviction, a disputed exemption or a tenant overcharge claim.
Does it cover my city's rent control?
It flags cities with local caps and links to them, but it does not calculate every local ordinance. Local rules win when they are lower.
What happens when the caps change in August 2027?
The kit covers increases that take effect through July 31, 2027. When the Attorney General publishes the new caps, check the official chart linked in the kit before planning later increases.
